There is no savings

Simply put there is no savings with the repeal and replace plan that House Republicans passed. The CBO score says that over 10 years there will be 110 billion dollar deficit reduction, as well as 23 million people losing coverage.  Here is something the Congressional budget office didn’t take into consideration. With the ACA, congress passed a provision that essentially reduced a program payment by 75% called Disproportionate Shared Hospital pay (DSH). The CBO at the time estinated that reduction in the program would save 230 Billion over the course of the next 10 years. (DSH) reimbursed hospitals for uninsured patient visits. Hospital company CEOs have lobbied any massive change in the ACA that would  increase the amount of uninsured, would require bringing back the (DSH) program. They probably will have their request granted. If so the actual deficit reduction will become a deficit increase of 120 billion dollars over the next 10 years. So why the push. Why are Republicans so hell bent on screwing 23 million people out of their coverage. There is a long running debate between the 2 parties. Republicans beleive in a free market solution within our profit for healthcare system. Democrats believe we should follow the lead of the rest of the world and provide coverage for everyone. Healthcare should be a wright not a privalege. I believe in fixing the ACA and...

Lets work towards ending voter supression

Voter Suppression is truly a vast right wing conspiracy. This is not just a conspiracy theory. This is truly a deliberate action taken by conservative law makers all over the country, to restrict the ability of many voters. Especilly young people, people of color, low income people and senior citizens. Florida has passed the gold standard of voter wrights laws. I would like to see all 49 other states do the same. As of July 1, 2016, the term “Absentee Ballot” has changed to “Vote-by-Mail Ballot.” Language on our website has been updated accordingly. For additional information, please refer to Chapter 2016-37, Laws of Florida. A voter does not have to be absent from the county of residence or have an excuse to vote by mail.  This option ensures that people who are simply not well enough or too busy or just want to avoid standing and waiting on long lines can excercise their god given gift to vote. Vote-by-mail refers to voting a ballot received by mail or picked up by or for a voter who is unable or unwilling to go to the polls to vote during early voting or Election Day. A voter does not have to be absent from the county of residence or have an excuse in order to vote-by-mail except on Election Day (see details below). A request covers all elections through the end...

Trump??

Donald Trump Announced an Armada was on its way to the North Korea waters. Ratcheting up tensions even higher, if thats even possible. Sparking a response from North Korea ” We will make the U.S. fully accountable for the catastrophic consequences that may be brought by its high handed and outrageous acts”. The real problem. The Navy Carrier Carl Vinson was 3500 miles away and headed in the other direction. For those who consider North Korea our greatest threat, a preemptive strike may be a great idea. I personally consider an illiterate incompetent president our greatest threat to our way of life. I preface Illiterate because recently President Trump Tweeted a recomandation for a book. “A great book for your reading enjoyment: ‘REASONS TO VOTE FOR A DEMOCRAT’ Its a 266 page book with all blank pages. Its a pretty sad day when the most powerful leader in the world recomends a book of blank pages and openly admits to our enemy he has no idea what his military is doing. Its time to vote straight down the ballot Democrat in 2018. Its the only possible way to impeach this grossly incompetent...

2018

Its a sad day in Americas history when some of the most decietful forms of propoganda are used to prop up a failed narcisitic corrupt racist president. A State of the Union address written specicfically to be sure a sick egotistical man could read it from a teleprompter verbatim, without feeling the need to go off on a tangent. A failed military operation, that cost the lives of civilians, children and an American Navy seal. Simply because the president was to busy Tweeting. Rather than being in the situation room considering the information being provided to him, that the our military had been spotted, the mission compromised and the best thing to do would be to abort. As well as a second failed mission, simply because the president is so indebted to the Russians he had to call them in advance to advise them of the upcoming missile strike on a Syrian airfield. Russia in turn contacted Assad and gave him plenty of time to move his planes. A republican congress that continuously refuses to investigate the connection between Russia and the president. There is only one thing concerned Americans can do at this point. In 2018 vote straight down the ballot for Democrats. I can not say I am apposed to all conservative values. Neither am I apposed to the public servant I am running against. I view...

The Political Wrecking Ball

Republicans took a stab at destroying Obama Care. Sometimes I think thats all they want to do, is destroy everything in site. Just like when George Bush Jr became president. He made it clear the projected budget surplus was simply because people paid too much in taxes. So he sent everybody $300-$600 checks, as well as giving the very wealthy an enormous tax break. As well as getting us into a war, we simply coudnt afford and had no buisness getting involved with. Costing us trillions of dollars over the course of the loan we had to take to pay for the war. Now Republicans under the leadership of Paul Ryan are detemined to destroy the affordable Care act. They are looking to take away the insurance of 32 million Americans, with no plan to reinsure them. Fortunately for America, their first atempt failed. Unfortunatley they will probably try again. Paul Ryan has made it clear he has no desire to work with Democrats on a compromise. Notably there is a former conservative congressman worth listening too. His name is Jin Mccrory. He points out and I quote. “you have to have something like Obamacare if you want a healthcare system that gets as many people covered as possible that’s not single payer” His solution not only makes sense, it reaches across both sides of the aisle in compromise and...
