He knew what he signed up for.

Rep Frederica Wilson said that Trump told the widow of Sgt La David Johnson, one of four American military personnel killed in Nigeria. “He knew what he had signed up for. The Florida Democrat was in the car with the widow of the fallen soldier. Rep Wilson said she heard the whole conversation. Of course Trump denied the story and said he had proof. We should all believe the president because we know he would never say such a thing. Although Trump was the person that said Sen John McCain was not a war hero because he was captured. He likes people that weren’t captured. He was also the person that repeatedly attacked the family of Capt Humayun Khan. The fallen soldier that died in Iraq in 2004. I guess what’s more important to Republicans is their beloved tax cut initiative. Our fallen and captured military personnel and their families getting the respect and empathy they deserve is...

Ax the tax cut!!

Recently Donald Trump waged war on the ACA via executive order. A lot of people are going to get hurt, because of this sick act of revenge. Its not above Trump to go out of his way to destroy lives. He cut his own grand nephew off his insurance in pursuit of revenge. He had siezures, cerebral palsy and was cut off from health coverage by Donald Trump after his father died. Another sick act of revenge. Thier is only one way to respond. Democrats need to stand united against the Republican sponsored tax cut. The Koch brothers have made it clear. With out action on healthcare and tax cuts they will cut off the 400 million dollars they have allocated to conservative candidates. That money is vital to Republicans to win in 2018. If we rally as adamantly as we did in opposition of repeal and replace. If we rally that hard against the tax break it will fail too. Republicans will not have a single accomplishment to show for their complete control of government. Make no mistake this is not a classic example of cutting your nose off to spite your face. Their is nothing in the tax break for you. Its all a tax cut to big corporate America and billionaires. I have never known a corporation to pay their employees more simply because they had...

Betsy DeVos

Recently Secretary of education Betsy DeVos challenged the assessment of Sec of State Rex Tillerson that Donald Trump is a moron. She asked the question, would a moron hire me? Well being she was the Secretary of education nominée that didn’t know the difference between proficiency and growth. As well as, she had no idea that the individuals with disabilities education act was federal law. I would say its very possible it would take a moron to nominate her to the position of education secretary. She than asked the question would a moron hire Rick Perry. Well he was the fellow that couldn’t remember the 3 federal agency’s he promised to shut down if he were elected president. Commerce, Education and oops he forgot Energy! He was also the former governor of Texas who forgot the voting age was 18. He thought it was 21. So again one could come to the conclusion that only a moron would hire him to be Secretary of energy. Than best of all, she asked would a moron hire Jared Kushner. Well the president beloved son in law was the guy who said he didn’t report over 100 meetings on his form SF-86 filing because a staff member pressed send to soon. Oh by the way the SF-86 form has to be printed and signed! So I guess you can see why some...

N Korea

The failed president Trump made a statement that should concern everybody. Republicans, Democrats, everyone. The statement was “only one thing will work” referring to North Korea. Its a sad day when the U.S. President gives up on diplomacy. Does this president really even have a clue what works and what doesn’t work. Does he really think war works. Does he realise we have 28000 soldiers on the border of North Korea and if we make a decision to attack they could all be killed instantly. Than comes the difficulty of a mass exodus of millions of starving, tortured, imprisoned North Koreans into China. Will China really allow the U.S. to attack? Is this all another attempt to deflect attention to the criminal investigation, he and his family and his whole administration is under? This is the same president that let the press take pictures of the military official who was in charge of following him around with the nuclear football. Is the nuclear codes really considered a circus act under this president. Let me arrive at my point. Only one thing will work. IMPEACHMENT!! So lets take a moment and walk it back a step. Lets not consider my opinion. Lets consider the opinion of Senator Bob Corker. Republican Senator of Tennessee. Chairman of the Senate committee on foreign relations. Here are a few quotes from Bob Corker. “Trump...

Transparency

Recently a friend emailed me this article, I am sharing the article he sent as well as my reply. I think candidates and lawmakers should be as transparent as possible. Having insight on how they think, is very important before you vote for them. Article By Merlin1963 Progressives always get the BS line about how we are “purists” when it comes to politicians we support, but I will say that I would gladly support a moderate Democrat for office here in KY, if I thought that any existed. But with the exception of Howard Dean, I cannot think of any other figures in the Democratic Party in my state or national level who are truly moderate. Let me explain. I’m one of those older people who remembers when moderation was defined as a political philosophy that accepted change but at a more gradual pace. Moderates didn’t want to overthrow the political system, but they sought to manage necessary changes. In other words, you do not fix what is not broken, but when something isn’t working, you acknowledge there is a problem and try to make make corrections. Moderates accepted a role for government as a positive good, but they didn’t think it was the solution to all our problems. And they could criticize government failures. Fair enough. And, it appears that some had principles that they would not negotiate...
